Biography
From a very early age Alison made up stories and illustrated them. Not much has changed, only these days she mainly makes up stories about her age...
Alison studied illustration at Camberwell School Of Art, during which time she had a monthly cartoon strip published in 'Look Now' magazine. After graduation, Alison worked as a full-time freelance illustrator and cartoonist, focusing mainly on magazines and publishing, and has had six books published.
Whilst promoting her books on TV and radio, Alison began a new career in presenting, appearing on BBC's 'Clothes Show', and Radio 4's 'Loose Ends', before popping on and off various shows for quite a few years. She dabbled with the idea of being famous but couldn't cope with the pressure of having to have her roots done every 3 weeks. Showbiz is tough!
Now Alison has done an 'Escape To The Country' and has moved to Suffolk, where the beautiful countryside will inspire
her to do more work.
She also hopes to learn to grow old gracefully, or grow vegetables properly. She hasn't decided which yet.
